It's 1986, the year Pablo Picasso's painting The Weeping Woman was stolen from the National Gallery of Victoria, the flim Crocodile Dundee was released and the song "You’re the Voice” by John Farnham was on constant rotation. On July 25, Hobart woke up to a blanket of snow that brought the city to a near standstill, so skiing enthusiast Mr Les Jackson made history by skiing over the Tasman Bridge.
